Who am I?

It's-a-me!
I, Pavel Lishin, rule this domain not so much with an iron fist, as a wooden spoon.

1/10 - Words I love: "portent".

Happy 2007!

4/10 - widget sex.

7/25 - Wow, I wrote software! Check it out, it's a Gallery that only requires one file to run.

7/20 - Austin trip and Mississippi trip is now up in Travels.

6/8 - Ah, summer. And time for a few updates. I think I'm going to try to keep this as a more personal site than my livejournal. A way and means to let mostly my family know what's going on in my life, and a place to put stuff I've been working on.

I think the latter will attract a lot more traffic, if any.

The important thing to note in this update is the new chat format tool I made after getting tired of having to edit that shit by hand. And trust me, nobody wants to read your stupid, shitty conversation if you don't at least colorize it.

I've also temporarily given up on my bookmark tool, but I'll get it running someday!

4/12 - putang77 doesn't think I can make my own bed!

3/29 - uh-oh, findFiling(rightbar.php) results in bad, bad links lower down in the tree! Fixed 4/12 - made links absolute instead of relative. That's gonna cost me later.

2/4 - For that matter, make the findFile() function more efficient by counting the number of /'s in the URL (not directory!), subtracting two, and only going down that far at most. Fixed 4/12 - I should be working on homework, instead.

2/4 - Note to self, make it search down for localStyle.css, instead of just looking in the current directory. Maybe it should include all localStyles.css, in order of depth from current folder? That way, any localStyle.css would apply to all subsequent pages, but as the styles get closer to the current directory, they would override one another, making sure that the closest one has the most weight. Fixed 4/12 - just findFile('localStyle.css') as a lazy solution.

2/3 - What does that mean?

2/1 - Wall is now 100% operational, and even looks purdy. I'd like to add a file upload feature, but I can live without it for now... besides, you can always upload your image to imageshack and then stick 'em up for the world to see.

1/31 - Wall is now very much functional, but the UI is still not very pretty. Some bugs still, too, but I consider this a beta release.

1/31 - It's annoying as hell having a different set of bookmarks between work and home, so I'm making a web-based bookmark thing. I used to use Yahoo, but then realized it was terrible and a pain in the ass. Now the world can see what it is that I like to look at. I'm sure it'll be done eventually.

1/30 - Added new project, graffiti wall. Still very much a work in progress, but the text feature is operational.
